RWBY is a new animated series from Rooster Teeth, directed by Monty Oum. The story focuses on a group of four girls in their first year at a legendary academy where they will learn to fight monsters.

This episode is what made me love RWBY. This fight scene is just so damned epic. At the end you feel as speechless as all the characters, thinking "Holy hell, WTF did I just see?". I still get that same feeling, after all these years and after having seen the whole series several times. It's so sad that in the 5 seasons since, the series has never again lived up to this moment. What does this episode have that's missing from the others? I feel like it's something more than simply fight choreography, but I can't pin it down.

I've watched this episode a few times now, and I still think I'm missing something. Did they ever actually explain how Ruby and Weiss ended up in the air with the Nevermore? Like, she falls out of the sky in the last episode, and they have them up in the air at the start of this one, but I still feel like there's a scene missing, or that there should have been one there. Minor confusion, but the episode is still awesome.

In the final confrontation with The Master, the Mystic Force has suffered great losses. With Daggeron and Leanbow defeated, the Rangers must use all their magic to try and save both the Surface World...

Babs receives her cutie mark off-screen in Bloom & Gloom , and Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo receive theirs in Crusaders of the Lost Mark .

In The Show Stoppers , Applejack passed on her old clubhouse for the Crusaders to use. Initially the clubhouse is dilapidated, but Apple Bloom fully repairs it and the clubhouse becomes their headquarters.

The initiation speech, written by Scootaloo and read out in One Bad Apple by Sweetie Belle, is long and repetitive to the point where Scootaloo herself interrupts it and makes a note to revise it.
