WEFOUNDBuffy, Season 11 (2 Book Series)

Though she was originally a perfectly normal human being, Willow's interest in and subsequent devout practice of witchcraft led her to blossom into a goddess-level witch whose tremendous powers far surpassed even those of other natural-born witches, allowing her to:

During her stint as a dark witch, Willow absorbed all the magical energy from Rack and the Devon Coven , which granted her the abilities of:

Willow Danielle [4] Rosenberg is a witch native to Sunnydale , California, a founding member of the Scooby Gang , and the best friend and semi-official sidekick of the Slayer , Buffy Summers . Willow started out as a meek and largely unassertive computer nerd, but eventually grew to be a powerful and authoritative individual.

On the genre-busting television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer , the heroine saved the world—a lot—over the course of seven seasons. Buffy premiered on the WB 19 years ago today; here are a few things you should know about the show. (And this is just the tip of the stake.)

A few years later, the rights holders approached Whedon about making a TV show out of his creation. He wasn’t sure it would work, but “I started to think about it and I came up with the notion of playing all sorts of horror movies in high school and making them metaphors for how frightening and horrible high school is,” he said. “With the show, I kinda wanted to get back to the roots of genuine horror, but with a lot of comedy and a lot of edge and a lot of self reflective sort of examination of horror. But at the same time, get genuinely creepy and hopefully genuinely moving.” And the TV version of Buffy was born.

Could you imagine Katie Holmes as Buffy and Ryan Reynolds as Xander? According to a 2000 biography , before she was Dawson’s Creek’s Joey Potter, Holmes was offered the role of the slayer, but turned it down to go to high school. Reynolds refused the role of Buffy’s wisecracking sidekick. "I love that show and I loved Joss Whedon, the creator of the show, but my biggest concern was that I didn’t want to play a guy in high school," Reynolds told The Star in 2008. "I had just come out of high school and it was f***ing awful."

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 11 is off to a good start. By the end of the first issue we know what direction this new chapter of their lives will set the Scoobies on. From here we see just how much harder it will be for them to do what they do saving the world when the world may not really be ready for them. No one ever said maintaining peace between two worlds was going to be that simple, and they are going to learn this the hard way pretty soon.

This creative team wasn’t afraid to make a bold statement about how dangerous of a situation is too. I felt like the instance they gave us in this issue was chilling enough to pull you into this all the way. Just like Buffy, this was a unique situation for Willow as well. She’s never had this struggle with the way the world looks at magic. She’s only ever had a problem with her own self-control in the past.

For Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 11 #2, Buffy maybe facing being divided from the people for whom she cares the most is the least of her worries. Any fan right now might find themselves hurting by the end of this issue, but you ask how can things can get worse and this is what you get. From here hopefully we take that next step in a more personal perspective from the supernatural world now that the government has made their move.
