WEFOUNDDas Hohelied der Liebe - Exegese zum 13. Kapitel des ersten Korintherbriefes (German Edition)

If this song really means something special to you, describe your feelings and thoughts . Don't hesitate to explain what songwriters and singer wanted to say. Also we collected some tips and tricks for you:

Why did you (inconsistently) translate using the archaic English of King James--putting a "th" at the end of verbs (beareth, believeth, doth, etc.)? Modern English no longer translates "Menschen" in sexist fashion as "men."

"I am become as sounding brass" This is not proper English. The German is following the Greek of the New Testament but in English it is usually translated as "a noisy gong." Another example: the phrase "In einem dunkeln Wort" follows the Greek, meaning "in a riddle" to convey the sense of an indirect or indistinct image. It is more commonly translated in English as "(see in a mirror) dimly."

I will end with one final correction: In the [13th Vers], "These three, but the love.." Love does not take the definite article here: "...the greatest of these is love."

In Palma, Timo's anger over his parents's silence leads to sneers at Padre Jan, whose recommendation for family reconciliation only gains credence after he reluctantly accepts to tell from his past about a great, hopeless love before he chose celibate priesthood. In Düsseldorf, Andi bitterly prepares to accept Ludwig's suggestion to represent the firm in a new deal, 20% of the Qatar 2020 Soccer WC stadiums. News that Lydia expects another baby-boy from from Ansgar and confided only into Sebastion however motivates Tanja switch sides and manipulate Ansgar and Rebecca to vote for Tristan's musical project instead.
