Now, they’ve shared six visually-stunning covers that fans will surely want to collect.

The covers feature Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, Rey (Daisy Ridley) and BB-8, Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) with his trusty pal Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew). They are uniquely designed to fit whichever character is being highlighted. For example, Phasma is standing in front of a legion of stormtroopers, while Poe Dameron is with an X-wing fleet.

EA’s Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is the ultimate mash-up game where you create teams of light and dark side characters to compete against rivals in turn-based combat.  It’s the only game where Luke Skywalker, Qui-Gon Jinn and a Jawa combine forces to defeat Geonosian soldiers or Stormtroopers; alternatively you’re free to pair Darth Vader with Count Dooku and Greedo.

While battles are short and provide near instant gratification, you’ll need to master basic strategy to keep these villains and heroes alive. Unlock new characters, get more virtual currency and level up with our Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes tips and tricks.

Similar to most role-playing games, Galaxy of Heroes features turn-based combat where you attack and then the opposing team receives the opportunity to counter-attack. Deplete each opponent’s health bar and your team wins.

Star Wars is the series of science fiction films created by George Lucas in 1977. The six "episodes" chronicle the heroic and tragic journeys of the Skywalker family, including their dealings with The Force, a mysterious power which, when accessed, gives individuals extraordinary powers.

Hiro , frustrated with Ando for wanting to cheat at gambling , says that using powers for personal gain is "the Dark Side". In Star Wars , the Dark Side of the Force is tapped by evil individuals, giving them power to profit, cheat, and destroy.

After learning that a future version of himself carries a sword , Hiro excitedly practices brandishing a sword in a style similar to Luke Skywalker's first foray with a lightsaber. Also, in the background, there are blue and green neon lights, which resemble lightsaber swords.

An escapee from the wastes of Jakku, Rey wields a signature blue lightsaber and uses mind powers to control the battlefield.

Han packs a tremendous punch at close range. His DL-44 can cause massive damage for short periods of time before overheating.

Commander Iden Versio leads the Imperial special forces unit Inferno Squad. An expert pilot and soldier, she solves the Empire’s problems through unconventional means.

This week sees the release of EA's highly-anticipated Star Wars Battlefront, a game that casts players as the everyday soldiers fighting the war between the Empire and the Rebellion. It also casts them as the iconic heroes and villains of the original trilogy, who can offer an edge in battle.

More heroes and villains will be added to the game in upcoming expansions and updates, as EA announced while detailing the game's season pass. Sadly however, only four will be released in the near future – a paltry number despite the wealth of possible characters that could be included. Like these ones...

Vanilla Battlefront has three heroes and three villains – Luke, Leia, Han, Vader, Boba Fett and the Emperor. There's a big omission there, likely born out of a desire to keep things balanced and the fact there's a distinct lack of original trilogy villains to draw from.
