WEFOUNDThe Prince's Day Out

When we first approached the representatives of international rock superstar Prince to see if he’d consent to being the inaugural subject of our What’s In Your Fridge series, we knew it was a long shot.

We weren’t surprised that we didn’t hear anything back for eight long months. We were surprised when the response wasn’t a curt “no.” Instead, it was: “We have some conditions.”

We could abide by this. After all, the series is What’s in Your Fridge?, not What’s the House Like and Where Is It Located?

Morris E. Day (born December 13, 1957) is an American musician , composer , and actor . He is best known as the lead singer of The Time .

The Time's most prolific and visible period came in 1984, when Day played the antagonist to Prince in his feature film Purple Rain , and later in Graffiti Bridge (1990), which helped establish Day's playboy stage presence. Typically escorted by his valet, "Jerome" ( Jerome Benton ), Day won fans with his exaggerated vanity ("Jerome bring me my mirror!") and strutting bravado ("Ain't nobody bad like me!"), acting as a comic foil to Prince's romantic, sensitive lead. This persona was further exploited for comic effect on The Time's records, on songs such as "Chili Sauce" and "If the Kid Can't Make You Come" from the album Ice Cream Castle .

That album, the group's most popular, is best remembered for the infectious singles " Jungle Love " and the Rufus Thomas influenced, " The Bird ." With their palpable pop energy and catchy choruses, both songs were hits on both urban and pop radio.

A host of Local Final Qualifying for The Open Championship from 2018 to 2022, Prince's also co-hosted The Amateur Championship in 2013 and  2017.

Prince's Golf Club have 27 Holes, practice facilities and a centrally located clubhouse. Helpful, attentive and informative staff are on hand to cater for your needs. Fourballs, groups, company days and society bookings are accepted 7 days a week, subject to availability. We are happy to arrange meals and snacks to suit your needs.

The Himalayas Nine is being remodelled, you will notice some courseworks going on around you, however please take this opportunity to take a sneak peek at the biggest remodelling work that Prince's has undertaken in the last 60 years.  All greens, tees & fairways will remain in the same condition and in full play throughout.

It’s on the list of "must-try" Southern foods in countless publications and websites. Restaurants in New York, Detroit, Cambridge and even Australia advertise that they fry their chicken Nashville-style. More than 12,000 people showed up for the 2014 Fourth of July Music City Hot Chicken Festival. The James Beard Foundation recently gave Prince’s Chicken Shack an American Classic Award for inventing the dish.

But although I’m a second-generation Middle Tennessean, the daughter of a Nashville native, I had never eaten hot chicken — or even heard of it — before I moved away for graduate school in 2005. I came back eight years later to a new Nashville that eats new food.

The city is growing almost faster than developers can manage. Historic neighborhoods are being razed and renewed. The suburbs are expanding. Fields are being replaced by paved shopping paradises identical to those spreading across the nation. My friends have moved to the neighborhoods we grew up avoiding. They asked me to meet them for drinks or haute Southern cuisine in places I remembered as industrial wastelands. And everyone was eating hot chicken, a food I didn’t know.
