WEFOUNDMissing: The Negotiations (Volume 2)

This checklist will help you prepare a successful negotiation strategy for any potential conflict and attain the best possible agreement.

To perform well, and perform well consistently, we must first learn to prepare. Ask any athlete who spends countless tedious hours preparing for a competition, or a lawyer about to step into a court room. At the end of our negotiation training courses we implore our soon to be graduates to book time into their busy calendars to prepare for their negotiations. While many colleagues, clients and suppliers will demand your time on a daily basis, very seldom will they remind you to invest more time preparing for your negotiations with them. Yet this is precisely what we need to do to create our successful negotiation strategy .

Each negotiation is going to be different, no matter how often we’ve addressed similar situations. We will always be negotiating with people who have different styles, goals and objectives, and who are coming from different circumstances and have different standards. So, always take stock and gauge which negotiation skills each negotiation will demand from you and your team.

Malaysia is currently in negotiations with Texas-based seabed exploration firm Ocean Infinity, which will begin its search for missing Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 (MH370) in December or January, when summer begins in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Malaysian government will decide when Ocean Infinity's search for the plane can begin after the country's transport minister meets with his Australian and Chinese counterparts next month, the director general of Malaysia's Department of Civil Aviation said during a Kuala Lumpur International Airport event on Wednesday, Channel News Asia reported.  © AP Photo/ Ng Han Guan, File Malaysia to Resume Search for Flight MH370 Missing Since 2014

The search for MH370 , which disappeared on March 8, 2014, while flying from the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board, was called off last January. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau spent more than 1,000 days searching for the plane in what became the largest hydrographic survey ever, mapping more than 274,000 square miles of the Indian Ocean seafloor at depths of up to 20,000 feet.

• Wenger: forward’s future will be decided ‘in the next 48 hours’
• Sánchez did not feature against Bournemouth
• Arsenal close to signing Malcom and interested in Mkhitaryan

Arsène Wenger says he expects Alexis Sánchez to leave Arsenal in the “next 48 hours”, with Manchester United having emerged as the forward’s preferred destination. The manager omitted Sánchez from the squad he took to Bournemouth for their 2-1 defeat on Sunday, although he remained a major talking point.

Wenger explained he did not select Sánchez because of the knife-edged nature of his situation and suggested his transfer could even have happened during the buildup to the Bournemouth game – a distraction he could not have tolerated. Wenger described Sánchez as having been on standby and the Chilean did not travel to the south coast with the rest of the Arsenal squad on Saturday.

The 2000 Camp David Summit was a summit meeting at Camp David between United States president Bill Clinton , Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian Authority chairman Yasser Arafat . The summit took place between 11 and 25 July 2000 and was an effort to end the Israeli–Palestinian conflict . The summit ended without an agreement.

On 11 July, the Camp David 2000 Summit convened, although the Palestinians considered the summit premature. [1] [2] They even saw it as a trap. [3] The summit ended on 25 July, without an agreement being reached. At its conclusion, a Trilateral Statement was issued defining the agreed principles to guide future negotiations. [4]

The negotiations were based on an all-or-nothing approach, such that "nothing was considered agreed and binding until everything was agreed." The proposals were, for the most part, verbal. As no agreement was reached and there is no official written record of the proposals, some ambiguity remains over details of the positions of the parties on specific issues. [5]
