Stores that carried salads made at the facility include all Jay C, Food 4 Less and FoodsCo stores and Kroger stores in the following areas: the Greater Cincinnati area including Northern Kentucky and Dayton, Ohio and Southeastern Indiana;  Central and Northwest Ohio; the Northwestern Virginia panhandle; Michigan; Indiana, excluding Southeast Indiana and Evansville; Illinois; Eastern Missouri; the Greater Memphis area, Tennessee; Arkansas; Mississippi; Western Kentucky; Hopkinsville and Bowling Green, Kentucky; Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama.

Salads produced at Dole’s Springfield facility are identified with a product code beginning with the letter “A” in the upper right-hand corner of the package. Those sold at Kroger stores were sold in individual packages and as part of the salad bar.

I try to eat as much organic food as possible. We even grow our own little organic veggie garden in the summer, so we have awesome, delicious and  safe veggies all summer. Nothing quite beats eating your own tomatoes!

If you’re going to feed your child baby food, I strongly recommend going for the organic brands. There is some really nasty stuff to be found in non-organic foods : pesticide residues, fertilizers, growth hormones, and antibiotics.

On top of that, jarred baby food is often chock-full of preservatives. Organic baby food, on the other hand, usually doesn’t have preservatives at all!
