The most patriotic holiday is right around the corner, and we've got you covered no matter how you choose to celebrate. Although typical Fourth of July fare is far from fancy—as it should be—we have a few ideas up our sleeve for making the best versions possible. Munch away on 16 of our American favorites from the mid-afternoon parade through evening fireworks.

Noooo! I was planning to make one of the recipes from the un-updated version, then went back to double check my grocery list today, and it's gone! Where can I find the old list? These new ideas look tasty but I was really counting on the old ones (the corn especially, how can you have 4th of July without corn??)

Okay, the bacon and egg salad sandwich is one of those "why didn't I think of that" genius ideas! I actually named my red, white and blue trifles, "All-American" last year, so I think they could be added to this list of recipes-so easy, and mostly fruit! :) http://www.christinascucina...

American Classic is the sixty-third studio album by American country music artist Willie Nelson , released on August 25, 2009. It focuses on the American popular songbook and standard jazz classics, and includes guest appearances by Norah Jones and Diana Krall .

In 2008, Nelson met at his ranch in Austin, Texas with his producer Tommy Lipuma, and jazzmen Joe Sample to select the songs for the album. The twelve songs selected were a collection of classics, that included a re-recording by Nelson of Always on My Mind . A duet with Barbra Streisand was planned for the recording of the album, that ultimately was not performed. [1] The photo in the cover of the album was taken in Nelson's ranch by photographer Danny Clinch. [2]

Rolling Stone rated the album with three stars out of five, receiving a mixed review: "Nelson can be kind of lazy [...] he only occasionally sounds like he's trying. [...] But his band pushes the music into airless cocktail-jazz territory, and Nelson often sounds glib and unengaged." [6]
