WEFOUNDChrist Goes to College

Regrettably, the opportunities for finding paid employment are very limited both in the University and Oxford in general.  It is not normal in the UK for students to work their way through graduate school as in the USA, for example.  Please see the guidelines from the University of Oxford for more information.

Permission to marry in the cathedral is normally given to members of the college within ten years of leaving. For more information, please contact The Chaplain,  Clare Hayns .

Christ Church allows free access to Alumni Card-holders and a guest during opening hours. The preferred point of entry is Tom Gate. For larger groups, please contact the Development Office to enquire about arrangements.

Christ Church is one of the colleges of Oxford University and sits in the heart of the city. Founded in 1546, today it is a key part of a very modern university, offering a home, undergraduate teaching and graduate supervision to over six hundred students. Its academic staff cover almost all subjects taught at Oxford. It stands out for its size, the beauty of its buildings, and its welcoming atmosphere, as well as the distinguished research and teaching that goes on within its walls. It is unique in another way too: it is a cathedral as well as a college.

Mr. Patterson: Start to treat your son or daughter like they are ready to move on, and talk about the transition. Ask your child what you can do differently to make them feel better about preparing for college, and equip them with skills like how to write a check and do their laundry.

Ms. Gresham: During the summer before they leave, provide meaningful family times together. I've known some parents who've made a memory book of the high school years. More than anything, pray together as a family.

Ms. Fox: Let your son or daughter know that this is a transition and learning process for you, too. Showing that you will be OK with the transition will help your student feel better.
