This coming weekend The Cabela’s King Kat Classic will hit the waters of Pickwick/Wilson Lakes at Sheffield, Alabama. This Friday and Saturday over 250 anglers from 18 different states will compete for a payback valued at over $70,000.00 in cash and prizes at this national event. “Our anglers are always excited to return to Pickwick and Wilson Lakes, the fishing is great and the local Southern Hospitality is unsurpassed in the Shoals area”, said Cabela’s King Kat CEO Darrell Van Vactor.

For spectators this will be your opportunity to see the top catfish anglers in the nation including America’s Favorite Fisherman, Bill Dance and his partner James Patterson, a legend in the world of catfishing. Members of the outdoor press will also be on hand at this national event along with film crews from TV and video.

This could very well be a record setting event in the world of catfishing. In 2004 the largest catfish ever caught in a King Kat event was captured at Pickwick/Wilson when James Azbell and Quentin Hendrix weighed in an 86.20 pound blue catfish. Will this record be broken? Come join us and the hundreds of other spectators at the Cabela’s King Kat Classic.

Nintendo today announced the mini-NES, a new $60 machine that will come pre-installed with 30 classic Nintendo games. It’ll also come with an HDMI cable, a power adapter, and what Nintendo is calling an NES Classic Controller, “patterned after the iconic design of the original NES controller.” It’ll be out in stores on November 11.
